From the Prairie Post, 2006:
"Jim Saville saw the first rewards of his efforts to bring live entertainment to southwest Saskatchewan when the Saville Theater officially opened on July 8.
Approximately 120 people from the area, and a few from beyond, attended the first performance at the theater, which featured an outstanding concert by Saskatoon-based singing ensemble, Eclipse. |
The group performed pop tunes such as Happy Together, California Dreaming, and I Heard It Through The Grapevine.
The group was conducted by BJ Harris, a former member of the a cappella group Streetnix. Wes Froese provided the keyboards and Mark Altman provided percussion.
Ken Marco, who has played with the rock band Blood, Sweat, and Tears, played guitar.
Saville said that despite the heat, everybody had a great time.
Wayne Elhard, MLA for Cypress Hills said the concert was entertaining and a boon to cultural endeavors for the area."

Testimonials
"Our group thoroughly enjoyed your show. I was particularly impressed by and appreciated the selection and variety. I really loved your version of Fare Thee Well and the middle-eastern sounding renditions of familiar favourites at the end was excellent."
"Loved the selections, the upbeat tempo of the arrangements and the mix of music presented - made me want to be up there!"

"It was a pleasure once again to sit back and enjoy a wonderful concert. I enjoyed the mix of a cappella , fiddle soloist/keyboard accompanist, guest soloist in French, the calypso swing to some of the numbers and the band behind you. It really was a joyous sound.""It was wonderful. The energy and enthusiasm you guys have completely transformed the music. I was at the Messiah Saturday night and have been to many, many Christmas performances prior to that, and you guys were by far the best!"
"We all were impressed with the performance and amazed at all the talent."
"What a good show! I loved the variety of arrangements, and the unabashed enthusiasm of the chorus members. I love that kind of music and did you ever do it justice!"
